gone for the weekend

2weeks ago to be exact, I asked Kev if he has any plans for his upcoming birthday (Dec.12, 2010, Sunday), He said that he had no plan at all because he’s sort of saving some of his money for something. And so I said, okay.

Thinking also of something to give him on his day, I asked my cousin for some gift suggestions because I can’t think of any idea plus I am not good in giving stuffs.

While she was sensing of some good ideas, I also, too, was minding over his liked stuffs. My head is aching. And it was then when cuz spitted the word “Caricature”, I agreed at her idea right away.

Edgar, my close friend from high school up to now knows how to do that, I texted him right that very moment and convince him to do me a favor. Good thing, I kept a picture of Kev 3years ago. After a week, I already got the identifiable visual likeness. Mission no.1 accomplished!

that's edgar ( obviously yung nka-blue)

* Last year Dec.12, 2009, we celebrated Kevs birthday somewhere in North. I came to visit and cooked him white pasta. TRIVIA: he loves pasta. Any kind of it will do.

°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°

*Just this Friday, Kev decided to let me go on with him this weekend. Unplanned as it is, I’m not prepared.

Saturday afternoon: I found myself riding on a bus heading south, packed bag with a smile on my face. Wow!

After 2hours+ of trip, got down that vehicle and going my way to my dear. As usual, meeting place at RP. Funny that I wasn’t able to wrap my gift, so I went to this bookstore and badly knew then that Kev was there waiting for me. I can’t think of any store apart from NB Store. Slightly worried that time, I went softly inside that book store, looking around, making sure that Kev won’t see me because if he did, the gift won’t be a surprise anymore.

I failed the gift to be wrapped in the counter; I just bought a gift wrapper instead and take charge of it.

When we set foot in his apartment, I told him to go out for a while so I can wrap the gift quickly. Tapos “walang scotch tape!!!”, how am I suppose to wrap my gift without any sticky thing to put in it? But God is so good; I saw a chewing gum in his table, get and placed it into the not so presentable wrapped gift. Voila! Ha-ha! Mission accomplished! J

Tomorrow is his day – Sunday, we’ll be going to church. You know, every time we celebrate birthdays, we’re ought to go to church to thank Him, for giving us such a wonderful and meaningful life all throughout.

Dec.12, 2010, Sunday at 8:00 in the morning, I woke up, still sleepy. We have to go at the 9 am mass at Mt.Carmel Church.

Oh! Here are some photos of the church:

I actually didn't had the chance to take some pics of the church that day, so i searched for it via Google :D

°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°

After mass, we’re both starving. birthday boy suggested to eat in this pancitan eatery

this is it!

we all know that pancit is always a present food on birthdays, either spaghetti. they have this saying that it is a food for us to have a long life.

*Pancit or pansit is the term for noodles in Filipino cuisine. Noodles were introduced into the Philippines by the Chinese and have since been adopted into local cuisine. The term pancit is derived from the Hokkien pian i sit (Chinese: 便ê食; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: piān-ê-si̍t) which means "something conveniently cooked fast."[1] Different kinds of noodles can be found in Filipino supermarkets which can then be cooked at home. Noodle dishes are also standard fare in local restaurants. Food establishments specializing in noodles are often referred to as panciterias.

Well, Pancit went so good for me. plus, they have this 'sabaw' that is poured over the pancit. it taste good, really. Another belly buster

Here again, are some photos on that same day

Not bad for a cheesecake :) and I find it cute anyway.

I lit a candle, put it over the cheesecake and sang him a "
♪ Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday happy birthday ... happy birthday to you ♪"

"Make a wish and blow the candle"

Another year for Kev, wishing and hoping for more.

Another fun day ...

We go back to Global Academy for my cuzs interview. I waited her at the couch near the receptionist and to their so called kitchen that looks like aquarium. There, I watched the student chefs prepare food. I heard that the students inside the kitchen are re-takers. And that’s when I saw this chubby chef (I guess, he is the trainer. I’ll use chubby as to his description because i find him cute despite of him being fat :)). ) coming out from the kitchen and go through the front desk to check his mini laptop. While staring at him, i secretly take a picture of him while he do the surfing, face booking, etc. So, this is Chef chubby chubby :))

---------------------

Those captured scenes were taken from Mendiola. As usual, rally over Mendiola way back in my college days (I studied in LaConsolacion College), I usually walk from our dorm to LaCo everyday and I did witnessed some of the rally that people marched all through out.

And just when I passed off those commotions, I stopped taking pictures. My cuz and I went on to our last destination -- MALL!! :)))))

----------------------

... not actually our last stop. Had our lunch and we decided to have a coffee. I always love coffee ♥
then up to movie house for My Amnesia Girl -- Funny romantic Movie :D

Another fun day..

A Julia Roberts film

A woman who, by a promise made years earlier, is supposed to marry her best friend in three weeks, even though she doesn't want to. When she finds out that he's marrying someone else, she becomes jealous and tries to break off the wedding.

Michael O'Neal and Julianne Potter have been friends for years but when Michael rings Julianne to tell her he is getting married to a lady called Kimberly Wallace she finally realizes he has to him her true feelings, which are that she loves him. When she gets there she can't do it so she tries to do everything to get them to break up.

After Michael tells his best friend, Julianne that he is getting married in four days, she goes straight to Chicago to help him get through. But she has every intention to stop the wedding and steal the groom from Kimberly. Over the next three days, she tries everything to split them up. Finally, on the day of the wedding, Jules tells Mike she loves him and kisses him, but to her disadvantage, Kimmy is watching them. Now Michael has to decide whom he loves most.

When Julianne's best friend tells her that he met a woman and they are getting married in four days, she finds out that she loves him and wants him for herself. So, she sets out to break off the wedding, but things prove to be really difficult, since the bride seems to be "the perfect woman".

It's a story of love revealed when Julianne realizes that she is in love...with a man who is going to be married to someone else. The only thought in her head is that she has to break up Michael and Kimmy. George, her boss, comes to the rescue, but helps her open her eyes to see what she needs to do.

--This is one of the most uproariously funny mainstream Hollywood movies to come along in a long while. A popcorn movie, a chick flick, that leaves a lot to be desired all around in the ethics department. The story is funny and its something that you can relate to and learn from, like to learn how to let go of someone.

I love Julia Roberts but in this woeful tale, she fails to come across as her typical vulnerable and endearing self.

Two thumbs up for this movie.

Let's be positive :)

I woke up today smiling. I got a text message from my dearest "good morning dear, positive day today :) i love you.. "
then i replied back " good morning din dear, thats good to know.. i love you more"

The point of that message was, I kept on reminding him that no matter what happens (this is about his work that he's so depressed about) , no matter what the decision may be, it is always God's will. I believe that God has a better plan in everyone of us. He will not give us everything we want.
I told kev to stay tough, that in every sacrifice he makes, there's always good thing in return. I believe that kev will make it through, i know his capabilities, loyalty and love for his work. And i love him for being so patient about that.

To my dearest boyfriend Kevin, I got your back boy

Period no erase.

What does Period means? for me, period is actually found in the end of a sentence. chos! HAHA!

Seriously speaking, i just thought of my irregular menstruation flow. I haven't been visited by it for almost 2 months and its not funny.

I'm with my man 1 week ago. --and I'm not nervous about it just because we kissed. (Dig?) haha!

I am hoping for a visit this month. please.

anyway, i want it red (font color

Culinary school hopping

And so this is my very first entry .. whats with the title? okay ... 2days ago, me and my cute cousin just had an inquiry on 3 different culinary schools, first was Global Academy in Timog, The First Gourmet in Old Balara (which i honestly dont like their place because its sorta 'liblib'), and lastly ISCHAM in Katipunan. I find Global Academy a good school because they have this grand diploma unlike the other two.

After the school hopping, we end up starving and made ourselves go to a resto in Gateway Mall. A Japanese resto to be exact.

I envy her -- future 'Chef'

As captioned to my cuz's pic. I envy her because she was so lucky to take up Culinary. I always dream of being a Chef, oh my childhood dream. :(

But then it was a fun day. Fun Culinary School hopping day :))
